In today's digital age, the interface of a bank's website is often the first point of contact between a financial institution and its customers. As such, creating a visually captivating and user-friendly website is paramount. Recently, I had the pleasure of completing a project that exemplifies this ethos: a bank front-end website, meticulously crafted by Jmastery and brought to life with the dynamic capabilities of Tailwind CSS.


At the heart of this project lies the fusion of design and animation, seamlessly integrated to enhance user experience. Leveraging the power of Tailwind CSS alongside traditional CSS, every element of the website was meticulously styled to perfection. From the sleek navigation bar to the informative footer, each component exudes elegance and sophistication.



However, what truly sets this project apart is the introduction of animation, implemented using Framer Motion dependencies. With the judicious use of motion.div and useEffect hooks, dynamic transitions breathe life into the website, captivating users from the moment they land on the homepage. Whether it's the subtle fade-in of content or the fluid movement of elements, every animation serves to elevate the browsing experience, making navigation a delight.


One of the standout features of this project is the incorporation of statistical animations. Utilizing useEffect hooks and motion.div components, numerical values seamlessly transition from their initial state to their final destination, providing users with real-time insights into key metrics. This unique blend of functionality and aesthetics not only enhances the website's visual appeal but also ensures that users are engaged and informed every step of the way.




Powered by React JS and Tailwind CSS, this project showcases the limitless possibilities of modern web development. Leveraging Vite as the tool of choice for creating React applications, development was streamlined and efficient. By harnessing the full potential of ES7 syntax, writing concise and readable code became second nature, allowing for rapid iteration and refinement.

Upon completion, the project was seamlessly integrated with GitHub and deployed on Vercel, ensuring seamless publication and accessibility. With the code repository readily available on GitHub and the live website hosted on Vercel, users can experience the project firsthand and explore its intricacies at their convenience.

In conclusion, this project represents a testament to the transformative power of design and animation in the realm of web development. Through meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, a simple bank front-end website was transformed into an immersive digital experience. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the University of Ibadan (UI) is expressing discontent with the National Assembly's proposal to create an additional 47 federal universities.

In an interview on Tuesday, January 9, ASUU Chairman in UI, Prof. Ayo Akinwole, shared his concerns while awarding scholarships to deserving students in Ibadan. Akinwole questioned the rationale behind creating more universities when the government is grappling to adequately fund the existing 52 universities.

"When we think about adding 47 more universities, we begin to wonder about the objective. The objective cannot be noble at all. If it is noble, you would see the seriousness in the way the government is handling the existing ones," Akinwole expressed.

He further urged the House of Representatives and the federal government to address the fundamental question: "Why are they establishing 47 new universities when they have not taken care of the ones we have?"

Akinwole dismissed the removal of tertiary institutions from IPPIS (Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System) as mere 'noisemaking,' highlighting that there has been no official communication to the universities on this matter.

"As we speak, no letter has been communicated, either to the bursary or the heads of the institutions. All we have been seeing is so much motion without movement," Akinwole stated.

Additionally, he refuted claims that the government had not paid them four months' salaries, challenging the accuracy of such assertions.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is urging Nigerians to have faith in the team as they aim to secure their fourth Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title at the upcoming 34th edition of the tournament in Ivory Coast, scheduled from January 13 to February 11.

The three-time champions are placed in Group A, alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.

Musa's plea follows a less-than-ideal pre-AFCON friendly where the Eagles suffered a 2-0 defeat against Guinea at the Bani Yas Stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Monday. Despite this setback, Musa expresses confidence in the squad as they head into the AFCON.

"Everybody is excited and waiting to go to Abidjan. After the last game in Uyo, when the campaign started, we told ourselves about going there to shine. We can see all the quality in the squad, and we can’t say otherwise. In football, anything can happen, but we have the confidence," Musa conveyed to NFF TV.

"Even the coach has set a target of winning the AFCON for himself too. I just want Nigerians to believe in the team, with their support we can go far."

Musa, along with Kenneth Omeruo, is among the few members of Nigeria’s last AFCON-winning team in South Africa 2013. During that tournament, Musa played a significant role, scoring in Nigeria’s 4-1 win over Mali in the semi-final and contributing as a substitute in the final against Burkina Faso.

With AFCON victories in 1980, 1994, and 2013, Nigeria will commence their quest for a fourth title in Ivory Coast, facing Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, January 14, followed by matches against the hosts and Guinea Bissau on January 18 and 22, respectively.

Police Catch Kidnapper After Getting N25m Ransom, Save Hotelier

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a kidnapper who abducted a well-known hotelier in the state and received a ransom of N25 million.

According to The Guardian, the hotelier was taken from his home in Port Harcourt on December 19, 2023. The Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, shared details during a briefing at the state police headquarters in Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, on Monday.

The police commissioner explained that the victim's wife approached the police when the kidnappers didn't release her husband after receiving the N25 million ransom. The kidnappers had shot the victim three times in the leg during the abduction.

Disu said, "The family paid about N25 million (in dollars) to these kidnappers, yet they refused to release the victim. The wife then informed the police on December 30, and the police immediately started working on the case."

After receiving the crime report, the police drafted officers to trace the kidnappers to their hideout. Around 7.00 am on Monday, the police raided the kidnappers' camp and rescued the injured victim.

During the operation, the police recovered an AK-47 rifle with two magazines, 44 live ammunition, and two Lexus SUVs used by the kidnappers. The rescued victim is receiving treatment in a health facility.

The police commissioner pledged to apprehend other members of the kidnapping syndicate who are on the run.

South Africa filed the complaint in December, accusing Israel of genocide during the Gaza conflict. They want the severe military campaign to stop, as it has led to the deaths of over 23,000 Palestinians, including almost 10,000 children.

The initial hearing at the International Court of Justice in The Hague will focus on the South Africa-Israel genocide case. This is crucial as the world calls for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Most other nations haven't clearly stated their position. John Kirby, the spokesperson for the White House National Security Agency, called the case meritless in a video statement.

Access Bank's communication stressed that existing CBN development finance intervention funds with approved interest rates will remain unchanged. Customers are expected to fully repay these existing loans following the agreed terms and conditions.

EFCC Interrogates Former Minister Sadiya Umar-Farouk Over Fraud Allegations

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) conducted a lengthy interrogation on Monday with the former Minister of Social Development, Disaster Management, and Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar-Farouk, regarding accusations of fraud.

A reliable source within the EFCC confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the former minister willingly appeared at the commission's headquarters on Monday morning.

"The former minister upheld her commitment to attend the commission's invitation concerning the alleged misappropriation of a multibillion-naira social intervention fund during her tenure," stated the source.

The source indicated that Umar-Farouk might be allowed to return home initially and might be required to come back for further questioning on Tuesday.

"She might not be detained immediately; there is a possibility she will be allowed to go home, but it will be late, and she has been instructed to report again tomorrow (Tuesday) morning for additional interrogation," the source added.

The ongoing EFCC investigation focuses on the alleged laundering of a substantial N37.1 billion by officials of the ministry during Umar-Farouk's time as minister.

A week ago, the EFCC also questioned Mrs. Halima Shehu, the suspended National Coordinator, and Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), which falls under the ministry's supervision.
