Osazuwa Agbonayinma, a Nigerian singer known as Zuwa, has been fatally shot in the United States, where he was based.

Details surrounding the circumstances of his death are not clear at the moment.

His father, Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, a former Nigerian lawmaker, confirmed to Entertainment News on Channels Television that his son was shot in the back of the head on Sunday.

Zuwa, who held a master's degree in Architecture, was part of the duo Roze, along with his brother Eghosa. They released several songs, including the well-received 'Ileke' in 2020.

This unfortunate incident follows the reported shooting death of another Nigerian singer, songwriter, and former Mr. Universe, Slami Ifeanyi, in Anambra State back in November 2022. A video circulating on social media showed Ifeanyi's lifeless body hanging from his car in a pool of blood. He was allegedly attacked and killed while driving alone in his recently acquired Lexus car in Umubere, Akwa, the state capital.
